New Moon in Capricorn and Winter Solstice

capricorn new moon

This month the New Moon lands in Capricorn, exact on December 21st at 5:35pm PST (Dec. 22nd 1:35am GMT). December 21st is also Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year. The New Moon in Capricorn is a call to honor our changes. The long term changes we have been working on are in alignment with our desires in the moment and our ability to speak our Truth. In the dark of the longest night we see the bedrock of our foundation. The tectonic plates that make up our identity and our life are shifting and we can feel it.

This is a new beginning. Capricorn is the beginning of Earth, the body, the home, finances, health, routines, senses, safety, stability. This Moon offers us an in depth look at our plans and dreams; a chance to design a present and a future filled with joy and satisfaction. Our needs and wants have changed. The healthiest way to meet those needs and desires has also changed. Radical honesty and trust are called for now. Under the Capricorn New Moon we see our gifts and our pain, acknowledge what inspires us. Notice what feels safe, what feels scary, and what ignites your greatest joy.

The Winter Solstice is a time of great reflection. The mystery of night dissolves ego; labels, presentation, external trappings and pride fade with the light. Our deepest love and the motivations at the core of our being shine through the darkness. Personal Truth is a beacon guiding us to rebuild our lives to be healthy for our hearts. As the Sun comes back over the next 6 months we can build a Path that reflects our true needs and motivations. You may be a different person than you thought you would be, but nothing short of being true to yourself will be satisfying. Chose yourself, whatever that looks like.

Love Yourself and Share Your Love!

Blessed Be!
